With Livan Hernandez on the mound the Nationals have a chance especially with the Marlins bats scoring just 12 runs in the last 4 games. They are still without Mike Stanton so I expect this team to continue to struggle. Livan loves pitching in this stadium he's gone 6-5 with a 2.88 ERA in 15 game starts as a visitor and he had a 2.33 ERA vs. the Marlins last year. He also was effective early last season and I think he is a good match to keep the Nationals in this game for a win. Volstad goes for the Marlins and he's struggled in April last year with a 5.79 ERA and in spring this year he had a 5.30 ERA. Zimmerman is 13-21 and and Ian Desmond is 6-12 so there are a couple of hot hitters going up against Volstad who did go 4-0 vs. the Nationals but he got tons of run support as he still posted a 5.28 ERA vs. the Nats a year ago including his last three starts where he gave up 15 ER over 14.2 IP including 26 hits and 5 walks. Look for the Nationals to get up early on this one and shut down the Marlins bats.
